An event for the community to recognize those who serve in police, fire and rescue to be held at Eastern View High School in Culpeper, VA. Mark your calendars now and stay tuned for more information!

On September 11, 2009, this nation will take time to remember those who sacrificed their lives on that Tuesday morning eight years ago at the Pentagon, the Twin Towers in New York, and in a field in Pennsylvania. Join us the following Saturday, September 12 as we honor area men and women who work as Firefighters, EMS, Law Enforcement and First responders in the Culpeper, Madison, Orange, Rappahannock and Fauquier areas in this special event.

Featuring activities for the entire family!

Family Fun
You'll have a chance to get up close and personal with the people and equipment that is used every day by our first responders from five counties! From police cars to fire trucks, bomb/arson trucks to rescue squads and helicopters, kids of all ages will enjoy exploring and learning about all of the amazing equipment used by our first responders. Also, new to many who will come will be the equipment of the Disaster Relief Ministry, Christ-in-Action based out of Manassas. This very equipment was used on the grounds of the Pentagon and at the site of the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001. Portions of this massive equipment will be used to cook and feed all of the event attendees.

Food
Christ in Action, a non-profit organization who continues to mobilize people to work in disaster zones all over the continental US have agreed to come and assist in feeding everyone who comes to the event in just the way you would eat if a disaster were to hit our area.

Children's Activities
Program: Heroes Unmasked for children in preschool - 5th grade.  Nursery will be provided for birth - age 2 with caring adults who have had background checked and teen volunteers.
